Project Description
DYW Fife is currently recruiting young people to join the team as ambassadors.
This unique volunteer opportunity will allow pupils from S3-S6 to work in tandem with DYW co-ordinators and support the planned activities within their schools.
The ambassador programme will allow the pupils to become role models to their peers and build valuable skills in leadership and collaboration. The three areas that pupils can support DYW Fife with through the programme are; pupil voice, event planning and implementation and brand and employer awareness. The programme is a fantastic opportunity to help us raise awareness of DYW, further develop employability skills such as communication and problem solving and be a peer support to fellow pupils.
Darren Wilson, DYW Wider Achievement Coordinator says,
“Developing the Young Workforce Ambassadors will play a pivotal role assisting schools in bridging the gap between education and industry. The program will empower students by providing them with a leadership role in organising events, creating networks, and offering opportunities. Ambassadors will inspire their peers, foster career readiness, and cultivate a generation of students equipped with skills for lifelong learning and work, while also enhancing their own personal pathway.”
