Name of School: Glenrothes High School
Four Pupils at Glenrothes High School had the opportunity to attend a site visit at the military base at Leuchars, Fife.
The RAF Helicopter Squadron who are operating out of Leuchars Barracks over the next few weeks, planned an exciting day for the pupils on Monday 17 Feb. The site visit allowed for opportunity to tour the Military Base and learn about the helicopters used in military and aid situations as well as speak with staff on site an learn from their experience.
The four senior pupils are actively involved in Air Cadets are interested in perusing a career with the Armed Forces in the future so the opportunity to learn about the aircraft and speak with the detachment commander was an exciting exercise for them.
