STEM Workshop Compliments of the Royal Navy

On 14th February 2023, the Royal Navy visited S2 pupils at Balwearie High School to deliver a STEM workshop.

A total of 90 young people attended workshops throughout the day where they took part in various activities, such as:

• Making a sphere move and/or dance
• Creating a circuit for a piston
• Using a battery powered circuit to make an object fly

Pupils who attended on the day said,

“I liked that everyone had their own robot to work with, no working in groups” and that it, “Promoted thinking outside the box”.
