Project Description

Pupils at Queen Anne High School enjoy a visit from Dundee Science Centre

As part of QAHS’s Developing our Young Workforce agenda we have introduced a number of themed days for S3 pupils. We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Dundee Science Centre to our Science department, delivering workshops about Space and employability skills to over 70 of our young people. The workshops were 50-minute sessions focused mainly on the topic of space.

Our pupils expressed some positive feedback from the day and shared that following quotes with us.

“It was fun and interesting”

“It was banging”

“I learned lots of new information”

This is the first time Dundee Science Centre have engaged with DYW and the team were keen to have the opportunity to help enhance our curriculum. This will now be an annual engagement moving forward which we believe will add value to our young people.
