Seeking Thermal Insulation Apprentices to join the KAEFER team at Shell Fife NGL plant in Mossmorran.
As a Thermal Insulation Apprentice you will be provided with the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience fitting insulation and finishes in a variety of construction methods.
The Apprenticeship programme is delivered over a four year period and you will be required to attend work on site as well as undertake formal training on a block release basis at the National Training Centre in Darlington. The successful applicants will be required to attend the training centre for 2-week blocks, approximately every 3 months throughout the apprenticeship and will be required to work onsite in between visits. Accommodation and travel will be provided.
Whilst on site, you will work as part of a team learning all there is to know about thermal insulation from application stage through to finishes as well as fabrication of cladding, finishes to pipework and ductwork. You will be required to work at height and in confined spaces as well as outdoors in all weather conditions.
The Apprenticeship is part of our Energy Division and provides an excellent opportunity to enter an exciting industry transitioning from conventional to new energies in support of the Energy Transition.
Candidates should be able to communicate and articulate themselves well, be friendly, adaptable and resilient and be comfortable with being away from home to undertake formal training.
We are looking for applicants to hold SCQF Level 4 qualifications in Maths and English related subjects.
The apprenticeship will commence in July 2024 and the successful candidates must be available to attend college in Darlington on the following weeks:
• 22nd – 25th July 2024
• 29th July – 1st August 2024
It may be possible for the successful applicants to start ahead of this date to provide early on-site experience.
