To date, they have taken on over 36 apprentices across a number of areas including IT, Administration and Marketing.

Overview:

The role holder will be part of the busy Global Office team and will be given the opportunity to develop their skills in a variety of areas. This role will be based in the Global Office but you will have an opportunity to work with other Units and Schools around the University. Mentorship and support will be provided through the Modern Apprentice programme and it is anticipated that the role holder will take the SCQF Level 6 apprenticeship with a focus on office systems during their two-year fixed term.

Responsibilities:

  • Raising, approving and receipting purchase orders using Aptos Financial Software – full training will be provided for you to be a superuser
  • Working with SITS (student records management system) as well as the Student Inquiry Desk (SID) which is a bespoke email account for individual student communication
  • Diary management using Outlook for meetings and Microsoft Bookings for student consultations
  • Supporting travel arrangements for staff and visitors, working closely with others in the team
  • Creating new vendors requests and dealing with incoming invoices using inhouse electronic form managed by Procurement
  • Sorting incoming and outgoing mail and dealing with special deliveries which then have to be logged onto the records management system
  • Assisting with room bookings to support meetings, visits and events

Salary:

£12,523 per annum

Working hours:

36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
