About this opportunity: Levenmouth Foodbank has been providing services to the community for 10 years. They want to make sure that no one in our local community has to go hungry, and they need your help to make this happen.

The warehouse team stock the warehouse, pack bags, sort incoming and outgoing stock and keep the warehouse and goods receiving area clean, tidy and free of clutter. Be part of the wider foodbank team to ensure smooth running of foodbank sessions. This will involve a fair bit of moving around and lifting bags and boxes. These can be made into smaller packages if you need this – training will be provided.

Several opportunities are available on Monday and Friday mornings and afternoons for around 3 hours each time. Volunteer trial periods can be arranged. A background check is needed for all volunteers. The foodbank would like you to talk to them if you have any concerns about this.

Training provided: Induction process takes place over the first month. Opportunities for training are available as required.
Out of pocket expenses paid? Yes РPublic transport rates are paid weekly or monthly at volunteers request.
Experience required: Ability to move around the building, generally fit and healthy as there is an element of moving and handling involved. Training on this will be provided. Basic literacy skills (to read labels, expiry dates, customer details). Basic knowledge of the importance of health & safety, and confidentiality. Training will also be provided. You should be willing to undertake training as required.
