The Nuffield Research Placements Programme is a great opportunity for S5 learners from disadvantaged backgrounds to take part in a two-week hands-on research placement with a STEM employer or university during Summer 2023.
The research projects are all over Scotland, within a university or industry setting and focus on a huge variety of topics from cell biology to aerospace engineering. Students apply through the Nuffield website and submit a 500 word personal statement, with their teacher providing a reference. The deadline for applications is Friday 17th March.
SSERC manages the Nuffield Programme in Scotland and is providing the opportunity for applicants to register and attend an online session on 22nd February at 4.30pm in order to find out what makes a successful application.
