Manufacturing Technician Modern Apprentice
We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Technician Apprentice to join the Manufacturing Team and complete a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (Fitting and Assembly) Level 3 – Modern Apprenticeship on a 4-year Fixed Term Contract. As a Modern Apprentice, you will be supported throughout a structured training programme in partnership with Fife College. The Manufacturing Technician Apprentice’s main role is a technical role assembling and faultfinding of highly complicated systems. This will be a wide-ranging role that will see you working on assembling materials in kit form whilst stringently adhering to working procedures, fault finding of scan heads, aligning complicated optical systems, and working as part of a team to help achieve targets.
For this role we require:
- Minimum of National 5 or Standard Grade in English, Maths, with a science and/or technical subject being advantageous or an equivalent NC.
- Desire to work in a manufacturing environment with a continuous improvement mindset
- An ability to work and manage time effectively with overall good time keeping
- Team oriented – strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to accurately follow instructions
- PC literate – specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.

This position is a Fixed Term Contracts based in Dunfermline and depending on the role and study framework you may need to attend College or University on a weekly basis.
