Apprentice Receptionist/Admin Assistant

Overview of the Role

Working alongside our current admin team, learning to handle all aspects of reception work and provide an excellent front of house service.  Working alongside the Business Support Team, learning about and undertaking other admin duties associated with Accountancy practice.


The key duties of this role are as follows:-

  • Answering the telephone – dealing with all phone calls in a professional manner and passing on messages as required.
  • Meeting and greeting clients and visitors.
  • Offering and making tea and coffee for visitors.
  • Booking meetings and managing the bookings of meeting rooms.
  • Arranging taxis and couriers as required.
  • Keeping meeting room tidy and professional at all times.
  • Keeping the kitchen area tidy during the day.
  • Dealing with outgoing mail (operating the franking machine)
  • Typing, scanning and filing.
  • Using Microsoft Office and Iris Accountancy Suite on a daily basis for a variety of admin tasks.

You’ll also be required to take on other tasks as required.
